Sal-Om everyone,
During these past two months a review was written for Great
Nonprofits (can be seen on the Mission's
Guidestar listing) about how the Mission of Maitreya
is active in the area of social justice, and posted the
information of this opportunity on Facebook. Also made a
few posts on Facebook regarding the
Law of Tithing.
The last few months seemed to be on a fast track. In
early July one of my Facebook friends invited me to Google+.
From there an invitation was posted on Facebook asking who
wanted to be invited to this social network. Hope we did
not miss anyone. If you would like to join Google+, please
just email me the email
address that you want to use on Google+ and you will be invited
to become a member.
Then, Diaspora (my original membership with this social
network was in
October 2010) started getting going and is now accepting
members by their invitation. Here is the link if you are
interested in asking for an invitation to join this rather new
social network:

Just yesterday received an email that I have been nominated
for an "honor the unsung heros" contest in Rio Rancho
[Note From Mission:
Ma voluntarily keeps the neighborhood sidewalks very clean and
weed-free, and was
previously nominated for another award for these efforts].
These contests bring an opportunity to share with the neighbors
in our wider community how the Mission
encourages us to be involved in community projects.
